BOOKINGS & PAYMENT

  • You can get in touch via the enquiry form with your dates, group size, and any details you have about your stay. The team will then come back to you with availability and pricing.

  • Yes. Every booking is on an exclusive-use basis meaning that the main house, the Bergerie Cottage, the grounds, the pool, and all bedrooms are yours for the duration of your stay. There will be no other guests on the estate at any time during your booking.

  • The Bergerie Cottage can be rented separately during the low season at a discounted rate. Please enquire directly for availability and pricing.

  • We have a minimum stay of three nights throughout the year, with the exception of July and August when a four-night minimum applies.

  • A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking. A further 50% is due six months before your arrival date, with the remaining 20% payable one month before check-in. For bookings made within six months of arrival, an 80% non-refundable deposit is taken at the time of booking, with the final 20% due one month before.

  • Yes. A security deposit of €2,000 is required for all stays. This is returned following departure once the property has been inspected, provided the house is left in good condition.

  • All payments are non-refundable under all circumstances, including cancellations or changes to travel plans.

  • Yes, of course! You are welcome to come and do a site visit ahead of your stay.

YOUR STAY AT DOMAINE DE LA VÈNE

  • Check-in is from 4pm on your arrival date. We ask that all guests check out by 10am on their departure date.

  • The estate sleeps up to twenty-two guests across eleven bedrooms. There are eight bedrooms in the main house, sleeping up to sixteen guests, and an additional three bedrooms in the adjoining Bergerie Cottage, sleeping up to six guests.

  • The main house sleeps up to sixteen guests across eight bedrooms; there is one Emperor room, one Super-King room, four King rooms, and two Twin rooms. The adjoining Bergerie Cottage sleeps a further six guests across three bedrooms.

  • Yes, the estate welcomes families with children. The pool has a large shallow end of 1.2m, which is well suited to children. Deeper areas of the pool should be treated with appropriate supervision.

  • Yes, we love welcoming well-behaved dogs. A charge of €25 per dog applies. Please mention your dogs at the time of booking.

  • Yes, there is WiFi throughout the main house and Bergerie Cottage.

  • Yes, there is satellite TV and WiFi throughout both the main house and the Bergerie Cottage. The main house also has a cinema room with a surround sound system.

  • The estate has three fully equipped kitchens - a main kitchen and a prep kitchen in the main house, and a smaller kitchen in the Bergerie Cottage. The main kitchen features a professional French Château Cornue cooker and a large stone fireplace that doubles as a barbecue.

  • Linen, towels, and toiletries are all provided. During peak and high season, gardening and pool maintenance are included.

  • During peak season, two cleaners are on site for two hours a day, Monday to Friday. Linen and towels are provided and changed as needed throughout your stay.

  • Yes. There is a dedicated car park on the estate, reached via the driveway. Follow the driveway past the green electric gate, then take the track on the left for approximately half a kilometre to the car park.

  • Unfortunately, due to the rural location of the Domaine, we don’t have an electric car charging station available.

FOOD & DRINK

  • Yes, guests are welcome to self-cater using the fully equipped kitchens. For those who would prefer not to cook, we can arrange a private chef at an additional charge, whether it be a local chef for specific meals or a residential chef who stays for the duration and cooks for your group throughout.

  • NEED TO ADD

  • Of course! Our Dining page has a full list of recommendations for restaurants, wine bars, and food markets in the surrounding area, and we are always happy to make personal recommendations too.

  • No, there is no corkage charge at Domaine de la Vène.

WEDDINGS & EVENTS

  • Yes, of course. We host a small number of weddings each year. Full details are available on our Weddings page and our wedding brochure is available on request.

  • Yes, there are several beautiful churches within easy reach of the domaine. We are happy to provide recommendations as you plan your wedding.

  • Up to 100 guests are welcome in the grounds for ceremonies and receptions; however, only house guests have access inside the main house and Bergerie Cottage.

  • No, every wedding at Domaine de la Vène is entirely bespoke. Each couple receives a quotation based on their dates, group size, and requirements.

  • We have a wonderful network of local suppliers, including florists, furniture hire companies and more, and we would be delighted to make introductions based on your vision and requirements.

  • Yes, the estate is well suited to milestone birthdays, family reunions, anniversary celebrations, and other private gatherings. Please visit our Private Events page or get in touch to discuss your requirements.

  • Our nearest neighbours are more than two kilometres away, so within reason there are no noise restrictions. We simply ask that guests are considerate throughout their stay.

GETTING HERE

  • Carcassonne Airport is approximately 20 minutes from the domaine. Toulouse Airport is approximately 1 hour 10 minutes away and offers a wider range of international connections. From Barcelona, direct trains run frequently from Barcelona Sants station to Carcassonne.

  • From Carcassonne Airport or station, the domaine is approximately 20 minutes by taxi or hire car. Please follow our driving directions carefully rather than using digital navigation, as GPS routes are not always reliable.

  • The nearest mainline station is Carcassonne, approximately 20 minutes from the domaine. Direct trains run from Barcelona Sants.

  • Yes, you are welcome to arrive by helicopter and land on the estate.
