Whether you are dreaming of a long table set under the stars, dancing until midnight with the hillsides as your backdrop, or simply gathering your closest people in one of the most beautiful corners of southern France, this is your perfect backdrop.
When you marry at Domaine de la Vène, the whole estate is yours; no other guests, no shared spaces, no schedule to follow that hasn’t been created by you. The house, the grounds, the barn, the pool are all for you and your guests for the duration of your stay.

Ceremonies in the grounds take place under the open sky, with the Pyrenees as your backdrop and the scent of lavender in the air. With its terraces, open lawns, olive trees, and panoramic views, the estate provides a natural stage for outdoor dining and celebration.

Set within the estate's historic stone outbuildings, the barn at Domaine de la Vène has been thoughtfully restored to create a beautiful and versatile event space. Available for ceremonies and receptions, and as a wet weather contingency for outdoor celebrations.

For those who prefer a covered space while still enjoying the beauty of our expansive grounds, a marquee can be erected on the estate. We are happy to share details of trusted suppliers we have worked with before. An additional service charge of €750 applies.

Weddings at Domaine de la Vène are built around a four-night stay, enough time for your group to arrive, settle in, and let the days unfold at their own pace before and after the day itself.
Across the main house and the adjoining Bergerie Cottage, the estate sleeps up to twenty-two guests across eleven beautifully appointed bedrooms. The main bedroom suite makes a natural bridal suite, with its flag-stoned floors, ensuite bathroom, and direct access to the pool. The main bedroom suite makes an ideal space for the bride to prepare, while the Bergerie works beautifully as a private retreat for the groom and his party.

Catering
Food is at the heart of any great celebration, and even more so in this corner of France. We work with a carefully selected group of local chefs and catering teams, each bringing their own character and style to the table, and will introduce you to the best fit based on your tastes and requirements.
Suppliers
We have a wonderful network of trusted local suppliers, from florists, lighting specialists, furniture hire companies and many more. We would be delighted to make introductions based on your vision and requirements.
Wedding Coordination
Domaine de la Vène takes on only a small number of weddings each year, and we believe that every one of them deserves to run beautifully. Many of our couples choose to work with a wedding planner, and we are happy to share our recommendations. If you are planning without one, we do ask that you engage an on-the-day coordinator to ensure everything unfolds smoothly.

France has long drawn couples from across the world looking for somewhere that feels genuinely, unhurriedly beautiful. The Languedoc delivers that in abundance — quieter and less visited than Provence, but with all the warmth and character of the south.
Domaine de la Vène sits twenty minutes from Carcassonne, one of the great walled medieval cities of Europe, and within easy reach of the Mediterranean coast, the Pyrenees foothills, and some of the finest wine country in France.
For guests travelling from the UK or elsewhere in Europe, Carcassonne Airport is a short drive from the estate. Toulouse — ninety minutes away — offers more flight options for international guests.
